Happy Valentine’s Day: Need some book loving?

Happy-v-day

Stone Heart

I just wanted to wish everyone Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy gorging yourselves on chocolate, wine, or whatever makes you most happiest!!!

If you don’t have a cuddle-buddy today or tonight, I wanted to offer up some of my favorite books to cuddle up with for the night.  These are some of my go-to series or books that never let me down for romance.

So grab something warm to drink, a cozy afghan, and snuggle into that favorite big chair or corner of the couch and try one of these.  Click on the book covers to be taken to the book’s Goodreads page.

Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series

Ignore the cheesy first few covers because they don’t do the series justice.  If you like hot, paranormal reads these will NOT let you down!!  The stories are consistently great throughout the series, even if the cover styles aren’t.

Anything by Sherrilyn Kenyon, especially these below!!

born of night Night Play

Born of Night is a sci-fi / romance (?).  Yep, Ms. Kenyon wrote sci-fi way back when.  If you’re lucky, you can find a paperback copy of this one that explains Kenyon’s journey to getting this series released by her current publisher.

Night Play, park of the Dark Hunter series, is what I consider to be the first WereHunter book.  I love this one for so many reasons I don’t want to spoil.  Let’s just say Bride, the female character in this story, is all kind of awesome in my book!!!

J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series

Really?  Do I need to say more?  These two are my absolute favorite books in the series.  Everyone has their favorite brother.  All you have to say is, “BDB?” and they’ll be sure to tell you all about him ;)

And for all YA fans…

Simone Elkeles’ Perfect Chemistry series

Rules of attraction

I tried really hard NOT to read this series.  But after I went to her book signing, I felt kind of like I probably should read it.  Holy cow, was I blown away!!!  The second book in the series is, by far, the best out of the three… IMHO.

divider-maroonPushing the Limits by Katie McGarry – I think I need to read this one again.

Pushing limits

I really loved this one all over the place!  Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2) is coming out May 28th, 2013 but there’s a novella coming out on April 1st, 2013 called Crossing the Line that might hold me over until the end of May.

So check these out; they are all rated pretty highly on Goodreads, if you follow such things :)   And they’ve been out for a while so you should be able to find them at your local library (hey, I work at one now so I’m kind of partial).
