Top 10 of 2012: The Best Covers
Dec 25
Top 10 of 2012 is a week long EVENT organized by Rachel at Fiktshun, Lisa at A Life Bound By Books, Jessica at Confessions of a Bookaholic, Jaime at Two Chicks on Books, and Mindy at Magical Urban Fantasy Reads. Last year I really enjoyed making my lists. It was a chance to analyze what I read over the year and remember some of the great books I devoured so long ago.
With the wrap-up event occurring during Christmas week, I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to get around to see everyone’s lists (my folks are in from out of town). So please, don’t feel like you HAVE to comment – I might not be able to return the favor.

Today, we’re looking back at:
#1. Fair Game by Patricia Briggs & #3. Alien vs. Alien by Gini Koch – both covers were done by Dan Dos Santos, whose style of art I absolutely love! If you go to his site, you can see an awesome picture he’s done of Captain Mal. Just the fact that he did Mal…
#2. I’m going to keep getting dinged on this one because this book doesn’t come out until January 1st, 2013 but I’ve read it twice this year. I love the cover to Splintered by A.G. Howard. It fits the story perfectly.
#4. Losing It by Cora Carmack – This isn’t an amazing cover by any means but it’s on my list because the cover alone got me to read this book. I literally could not keep my eyes off this cover!!! That is a GOOD cover.
#5. Defiance by C.J. Redwine – I love the contrast between the haircolor and the dark colors.
#6. Ironskin by Tina Connolly – It’s just beautiful, no?
#7. The Darkest Seduction by Gena Showalter
#8. Cornerstone by Misty Provencher – I love how she improved on her cover by adding the characters to the cover. The cover before was extremely appropriate to the story.
#9. Down to You by M. Leighton – Do I need to say anything, really?
#10. ReVamped by Ada Adams – I love the cover’s colors and the typography is stellar!!!

Pretties! I’d never ding you for Splintered, I love that cover – it reminds me a bit of Scarlet (that Robin Hood retelling), which I loved too. I have Ironskin on my list too and I really would never argue with Losing It, The Darkest Seduction and Down To You just because..why was it again?
Hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas!

I have no idea, either…. I’m still distracted by the man candy, too
Merry Christmas!!
Splintered is a gorgeous cover (and January 1st is only just next year lol) and I love ReVamped too. Great list!
