Top 10 of 2012: My Book Boyfriends
Dec 27
Top 10 of 2012 is a week long EVENT organized by Rachel at Fiktshun, Lisa at A Life Bound By Books, Jessica at Confessions of a Bookaholic, Jaime at Two Chicks on Books, and Mindy at Magical Urban Fantasy Reads. Last year I really enjoyed making my lists. It was a chance to analyze what I read over the year and remember some of the great books I devoured so long ago.
With the wrap-up event occurring during Christmas week, I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to get around to see everyone’s lists (my folks are in from out of town). So please, don’t feel like you HAVE to comment – I might not be able to return the favor.

Today, we’re looking back at:
I don’t like to put pictures up of what I think characters look like. I personally like to paint my own character pictures so why would I subject my “pictures” on someone else? I know, I’m weird and self-conscious. I’ve just left my list to names and the “whys”.
1. Tod Hudson – Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent
Since the first book in the series, I’ve always favored Nash for Kaylee. But slowly, consistently, Tod has done everything “more right” than Nash. He’s been above and beyond for Kaylee. I think Soul Screamers fans know what I’m talkin’ ’bout. I never thought he’d sneak in to my number one spot but there he is!
2. Garrick – Losing It by Cora Carmack
What this poor guy did to get some, err, I mean for love…
3. Garrett – Keystone by Misty Provencher
Absolutely, positively amazing in all ways. He’s one who cherishes his girl.
4. Logan – Twist & Impulse, both by Dannika Dark
I’ve been a fan of this series since the first book. When I picked up Twist, I was like, “Awwww, crap, another dude to contend with.” But Logan IS the man. There is no one else; every other guy pales in comparison (yep, even Simon).
5. Aric – Sealed with a Curse by Cecy Robson
My newest book boyfriend, here’s proof of the thing I have for alpha wolves.
6. Thanatos – Lethal Rider by Larissa Ione
When a man is covered in tats and can pull off a turtleneck and slacks and looks sophisticated, I melt. Constant torture won’t keep this guy down. Hmmmm….
7. Cash Davenport – Down to You by M. Leighton
A bad boy who cleans up well… ’nuff said.
8. Charles Cornick – Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
I’ve had a crazy crush on Charles ever since the Alpha & Omega novella. He is one amazing Alpha wolf. Half enforcer, half accountant – he can balance my bank account anytime!
9. Noah – Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
What is it with bad boys? Oh, yeah, everyone loves them!!! They have hearts of gold.
10. Atticus – Trapped by Kevin Hearne
I’ll take my 1,000 year old druid with a side of humor, please. Must walk around naked as much as possible.

I’ve only read a couple of these but I’m aware of all of them, if that makes sense. I agree about Tod though – Nash was getting on my last nerve when I last read a Soul Screamers book and Tod was starting to really appeal to me.
I see several guys there that have just changed the order of my TBR pile!
I’m afraid most of my book boyfriends are probably psychotic stalkers, except for my perennial entry of Roarke from the In Death series by J.D. Robb. The crazier they are, the more I usually need a bib.
